Dr. Melia's approach is that of understanding  the whole patient, not just the current issue. Her focus on working towards quality movement patterns not only rehabilitates from injury, but also develops functional strength...keeping you healthy for the future! 

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy services includes a comprehensive evaluation and examination, patient education, and an individualized rehabilitation plan:  manual therapy (hands on care), neuromuscular re-education,  therapeutic exercise, postural/stabilization training, balance and gait re-training as appropriate.


In-Person: 55 minutes in duration, sessions are one-on-one; concierge in-home available upon request


Telehealth: 45 minutes in duration, telehealth sessions are virtual

  • Orthopedic Injuries (ie ankle sprain, low back pain, muscle strain, etc)
  • Perinatal orthopedic concerns
  • Performing Arts - dancers, instrumentalists, singers
  • Movement Disorders/Parkinson's

Book Physical Therapy

Pilates

Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat and on specially designed equipment - the reformer, tower, cadillac, and chair. Pilates includes exercises for every part of the body and applications for every kind of activity. It emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength, muscle balance and endurance. 


Pilates Sessions

  • 50 minutes in duration, with a skilled physical therapist & Pilates instructor
  • Available in-person, or virtually; concierge in-home available upon request
  • Now Offering: privates (one-on-one), duets, and small group reformer classes (max of 3 students)


In her own experience, Kathleen found an even deeper appreciation for Pilates as it later became an integral part of her rehabilitation from a back injury. Trained in classical Pilates through Balanced Body®, she is passionate in helping clients achieve strength and stability.
